Rita Carswell:
I am a member of multiple art groups in Colorado and have received multiple art awards in 2021 and 2022, and recently had a solo show, "Created to Create" at Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts in Palmer Lake.
My art and art education career developed after graduating from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia in 1984. I now look back at the 30+ years experience in teaching and painting in Philadelphia and Colorado Springs. I have partnered with Jeannie Villacorta since 2008 to create wonderful murals for the Colorado Springs and Denver regions. Locations include schools, businesses, private residences, luxury model homes, and churches. I am also currently teaching private art lessons in my home and online.
Jeannie Villacorta:
I studied Illustration at Syracuse University, then completed my BFA at OSU. I have done set design for various musical productions through the years, murals, taught art classes in home school co-ops and privately at home. I have partnered with Rita Carswell in mural painting here in the Springs for that last 10 years, doing work in schools, homes (including the Parade of Homes), business offices, restaurants and churches, and loved every minute of it!

In 2008, we've combined our talents to create Murals and Paintings in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Whether you are a school, office, or residence needing an indoor wall or an outdoor 3 story exterior painted, WE CAN DO IT!
HOW WE DO IT:
We get together for a consult to help you formulate your mural ideas on paper. We then research a myriad of images, photographs and drawings, splice them together, add extra pizzazz, and expertly paint to make the mural or smaller painting come to life.
It doesn't matter how large or small you'd like the mural, or whether it is a futuristic contemporary vision of space in year 2050 or your favorite pet, Bootsie, sitting on a recliner.
